- #KINGDOM HEARTS PRE ORDER STAINED GLASS THEME SERIES#
A lot of you might have forgotten this boss fight because he did appear inexplicably at the very end of the game, and I hear that he was incredibly nerfed for later releases of the game (like the PS3 and PS4 collections), so you might have just zipped past him and forgot all about him. We also wanted to find a pin for our favorite boss in the original game, Chernabog. In the grand scheme of things, you really can't tell.
#KINGDOM HEARTS PRE ORDER STAINED GLASS THEME SERIES#
Since we couldn't find Hades in this series we ended up getting a different pin for him, so he's a little smaller than the rest. I'm still pretty happy with what we ended up with, though.įor the villains we used Disneyland Paris OE pins, again for everyone but Hades. Even though I would have really liked to have another stained glass pin, we just couldn't find one we thought would fit on the board. Unfortunately, no official pin exists for Kairi, so we had to find a fantasy pin that would feel fitting for the board. Unfortunately this set included Tinkerbell instead of Alice for some reason, so Alice's place on the board comes from a different stained glass series, this one using an actual stained glass element. We were lucky to find a Princess Stained Glass series that had the princesses in front of stained glass that looked almost identical to the glass of Kingdom Hearts, though I still can't tell you which was inspired by which. We would collect on the board all of the main villains of the original game and all of the Princesses of Heart, then build around that. A mash of the game that harkened back to the original spirit of the series. We wanted to get as many KH pins as were available to us at the time, spanning for all the games, but the bulk of our collection would actually come from pins from Disney movies. We decided to go with a KHI theme, a recall to the title that started it all and would, admittedly, be much easier to build off of. After some research we had discovered that not too terribly many pins existed out there, so we would have to think out the box for our design of the overall board. We knew we wanted to have all authentic pins, or at least as close to all authentic as we could get, and that alone would limit us a lot. We knew we couldn't just go about slapping whatever on the board, so we set about deciding ahead of time what would go on it. This got us on the hunt for other Kingdom Hearts pins, and before we knew it we were ready to make a Kingdom Hearts pin board. This was probably the case for many of you, right? Well, that pin is actually an official Disney pin, and while it doesn't have the trademark waffle pattern on the back it *is* considered to be a tradeable pin. My sister and I had just been collecting pins for a short while, but when we pre-ordered Kingdom Hearts III, we got a pin as an added bonus. Now that that's all out of the way, let me explain. Pins can be relatively cheap or *very* expensive, depending on how rare they are or how high in demand they are. Pins can be obtained through all manners of ways, from trading with guests and cast members, buying them from shops around the parks or online, and even as an added bonus to buying something from certain places. Pins are often used for trading but they can also be used just for collection, which is *mostly* what my sister and I do.
If you've ever visited the parks, you might have seen people set up in designated areas with pins they have to trade, though not every park has pin trading available.
I'm talking about enamel pins, depicting characters and scenes from various movies as well as shorts and television series. Within the Disney parks such as Disneyland and Walt Disney World is a rich culture of pin trading. Now, I'm sure many of you already know about Disney pins and the culture surrounding them, but for those of you who do not, allow me to give you a brief insight. But today, I have something new to show you all, and I hope you like it as much as I do. It's been quite a while, hasn't it? But I as a person tend not to post when I don't have anything I feel I can really add.
^^ I know I don't post often, but I'm glad it can be good stuff when I do. Thanks so much for the feature! I'm really glad so many liked what I had to show here.
